ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

Graduates of accredited high schools may be admitted as freshman on the basis of their:
  • performance in the U.P. College Admission Test (UPCAT), 
  • weighted average in the first three years of high school, 
  • choice of U.P. college/unit, and 
  • qualification for college admission through the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE).
Graduates of high schools abroad may be admitted as beginning freshmen into non-quota programs without taking the UPCAT provided they meet other specific requirements. For further details, inquire at the Office of the Registrar.

University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) was established in 1908. It is part of the the University of the Philippines System which has campuses in Diliman, Manila, Baguio, Pampanga, Cebu, Visayas, and Mindanao. 

UPLB offers undergraduate ang graduate studies through its College of Agriculture and Food Science, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Development Communication, College of Economics and Management, College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology, College of Foreestry and Natural Resources, College of Human Ecology, College of Public Affairs and Development, and College of Veterinary Medicine. 

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has accreditted UPLB's program in Chemical Engineering as a Center of Delopment while the programs in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Biology, Forestry, Information Technology, Environmental Science, Development Communication, Statistics, and Veterinary Medicine as Centers of Excellence.
