College is a great opportunity to try new experiences and learn a wide variety of things. For many of us that would sometimes take us to various places – often outside the classroom – in our quest to discover who we are and to prepare ourselves for the “real world”. With this in mind Unilever is providing students with a different kind of learning experience.

Unilever gives students opportunities for their careers and skills for the real world. It’s a rewarding experience guided by their mantra, #WeAreMakers of A Better Business, A Better World, A Better You. Last year, Unilever hosted their programs in an online format for the first time. 

Real fun at the virtual Future Leaders’ League 

This business case competition gave some of the best and brightest from universities across the country a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a real impact on an actual Unilever business challenge. 

Guided by experienced mentors and industry leaders, students were given a look at how the company has adapted sustainable programs amidst the ongoing pandemic, pivoted their brands to reflect the new normal, and provided initiatives towards employee well-being. They got a first-hand look on the workings of an industry leader. 

Students were then challenged with a unique case involving Pond’s, one of the company’s top brands, providing them an opportunity to use their critical thinking skills and unique problem-solving abilities. 

The Future Leaders’ League culminated with the announcement of winners at the National Finals. Competitors celebrated with new friends from other universities and received a special care package. The champions then continued on to represent the country at the Global Finals, going against students from across the globe!

Unilever Business Week is a week-long immersion with a guaranteed internship for graduating students. The event aims to provide students with real-world experience through challenges and activities that can affect the business and their communities. 

Like the Future Leaders’ League, you’ll be collaborating with peers from different schools, sharing new experiences together and learning the ins and outs of the company from veteran business leaders proficient in customer development, marketing, supply chain and e-commerce. You’ll also be receiving a sweet care package to help you begin your career!
