Centro Escolar University (CEU) is a private institution founded as Centro Escolar de Señoritas by Doña Librada Avelino and Doña Carmen de Luna on June 3, 1907 as a school offering Kindergarten, Elementary, and General Secondary Education programs. The institution also has music and home arts courses while its first college program, Pharmacy, opened in 1921. The Colleges of Liberal Arts, Education, Dentistry, and Optometry followed one by one. The institution was granted university status by the government in 1932.

At present, CEU has campuses located in the cities of Manila, Makati, and Malolos in the province of Bulacan. It acquired Centro Escolar Las Piñas (former Las Piñas College Inc.) in September 2015.

The university aims to foster excellence in its pursuit of knowledge while establishing personal integrity and social responsibility. CEU is committed to providing a rich academic environment among its faculty and students, enhancing the development of higher education through its academic programs, and contributing to the promotion of human health and well-being through healthy and professional education, research, and community service.

Presently, CEU offers programs in the senior high school, undergraduate, and post-graduate levels. It takes pride in its programs: Accountancy and Management, Dentistry, Medical Technology, Medicine, Optometry, Nutrition and Hospitality Management, Pharmacy, Science and Technology, Nursing, Education, Liberal Arts, Music, and Social Work.

The Manila Campus is recognized for its quality programs by other institutions. It has several awards and accreditation, which are a full Autonomy status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), an institutional accreditation certified by the Federation of Accrediting Associations of the Philippines (FAAP), the Philippine Quality Award by the Philippine Government, the ISO 9001:2008 System Certification, and Pro Ecclesia Et Pontifice (For the Church and the Pope) Papal Award.

  • Prepare the following requirements: Original Transcript of Records with S.O. number, Transfer Credential (If graduate from another school), for female photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate/Marriage Contract.
  • Go to the Graduate School Dean’s Office for initial interview and get the Endorsement Form for drug testing.
  • Proceed to the Clinical Laboratory for drug test within the day of payment.
  • Pay the Drug Test fee to Cash Dept./ Division/Section.
  • Claim drug test result at Graduate School Dean's Office on the designated date and get referral for Guidance and Counseling Department (GCD) located at SDV Bldg., 3rd Flr., Room 303 and get Endorsement Form for Graduate School Admission Tests(Mental Ability Test, English Proficiency Test, Personality Test).
  • Pay the Graduate School Admission Test to Cash Dept./ Division/ Section.
  • Proceed to GCD to take the Graduate School Admission Test.
  • Claim the result of examination at the Graduate School Dean’s Office on the designated date.
  • Registration for examination is at least 15 minutes before the chosen schedule.
  • Return to the Admissions Office to get the following:

  • Pay the entrance examination fee at the Admissions Office.
  • Take entrance examination. Registration is done 15 minutes before the given time schedule.
  • Results of the exam will be sent thru email.
  • Prepare the following requirements for admission:
    • Grade 11 Form 138/Card with general weighted average
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character from the High School Principal

  9. Go to the Guidance and Counseling Department (GCD) located at SDV Bldg., 3rd Flr., Room 303, presents referral from the dean/program head and receipt of examination fee and take the entrance examination.
  10. Registration for examination is at least 15 minutes before the chosen schedule.
  11. Go to Admissions Office within the day if the exam is taken between 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. and the following day if the exam is taken at 3:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.

Non-Resident Aliens

  • Proceed to the Clinical Laboratory for drug test within the day of payment.

  9. Take Psychological Test at the GCD.

  11. Go to the Dean’s Office for further evaluation of result.
  12. Prepare the following additional requirements for admission:
